Switch platforms without losing a single recurring donor.
The reason most organizations stay on a platform they've outgrown is migration fear: recurring gifts breaking, donor history vanishing, printed QR codes going dead. Our team moves all of it for you: donors, recurring gifts, funds, and every public link. Your old platform keeps running until you've verified every number.
What the switch offer actually means
The concierge migration is free on every plan: we do the donor import, recurring-gift recreation, and link mapping as part of onboarding. After your migration completes, we set your platform fee on one-time gifts to 0% for 90 days, online and at your kiosks. Recurring gifts bill at your normal plan rate from day one (Stripe card processing always applies at cost).
The waiver and its exact end date appear on your dashboard billing page, so there is no fine print to chase. When the 90 days end, your normal plan rate resumes automatically: no price lock, no surprise charge, just a clean head start while you settle in.
Everything that moves with you
A migration only counts if the donor never notices it happened. These four things move before anything public changes.
Donor records and history
Every donor profile imports with contact details and full giving history, matched by email so year-end statements stay complete.
Recurring gifts
Stripe-to-Stripe card migration means monthly donors keep giving without re-entering a card. Gifts recreate on their existing billing day.
Funds and campaigns
Zakat, building fund, tithes, benevolence: your fund structure recreates one-to-one so restricted money stays restricted through the move.
Donation links and QR codes
We map every public giving link before cutover, including printed QR codes, so no email footer or flyer ever hits a dead page.
How the migration runs
Two to three weeks for most organizations, with both systems running in parallel until you confirm the totals reconcile.
Week 1: audit
You export donors, recurring gifts, and fund reports from your current platform. We review them together and flag anything ambiguous before touching production data.
Week 2: import and parallel run
Donor records and funds import into Givebear while your old platform keeps running. You verify totals against your own reports. Nothing public changes yet.
Cutover: a date you pick
Recurring gifts move, links redirect, and the new giving page goes live, ideally during a quiet week. Your old account stays readable until you confirm everything reconciles.
Small donor list? Import it yourself in minutes.
If you can export a CSV, you don't have to wait for a concierge slot. The import wizard in your dashboard recognizes Givebutter, Donorbox, Neon CRM, and Blackbaud exports, matches their column names automatically, and dedupes donors by email before anything is created. Donation history imports too, so each donor's giving record carries over and January year-end statements stay complete.
Recurring gifts are the one thing to leave to us: moving saved cards is a Stripe-to-Stripe transfer our team runs as part of the free concierge migration.
When the platform leaves before you do
Four groups of organizations are mid-migration right now whether they planned one or not. Each has a different escape path, and the concierge team has run all four.
Your DipJars went dark in February 2025
DipJar ceased operations at 8:00 am ET on February 11, 2025, and its dashboards went offline on February 27, leaving 3,500+ organizations with hardware that can no longer take a payment (per DipJar's own shutdown notice, verified June 2026).
Salvage what remains: reports you exported before February 27 fold into your Givebear donor records during import, so year-end totals stay whole. The giving habit itself lives at the counter where the jar sat, and it transfers the day a new device stands there. Treat the swap as a trade-in: a Givebear kiosk is a one-time $699 to $899 purchase with no monthly software fee, takes tap to donate instead of dips, and emails receipts, so no vendor shutdown can strand your donor data again.
What DipJar owners are switching to →Your Qgiv kiosk app became a Bloomerang feature
Qgiv sunset its standalone kiosk app in January 2025: kiosk mode now runs inside the Bloomerang Fundraising app, and dedicated kiosk hardware no longer gets a product page of its own. If you bought touchscreen hardware for the old app, your giving devices now ride on a CRM vendor's mobile-app roadmap in the middle of a rebrand.
Givebear makes the opposite bet: the kiosk is the flagship, not a mode. Purpose-built hardware you own outright, Stripe Terminal payments, an offline cache for dropped Wi-Fi, and reader-down alerts to your inbox, backed by the same donor records and recurring tools as your online giving page.
Givebear vs Qgiv, side by side →You're counting down a Pushpay contract
Pushpay's price is whatever the sales call says: $199 to $999+/mo (third-party reported; Pushpay publishes no prices), on contracts third parties report typically run 1 to 3 years (Pushpay pricing page (quote-gated), verified June 2026). Plenty of teams stay only because the term hasn't ended yet.
The exit is mechanical, not dramatic: export your donor and recurring-gift lists, import them here while the contract runs out, and we recreate each recurring gift on Stripe with a one-tap re-authorization email (saved cards cannot leave Pushpay's processor). Pick a cutover date just before your renewal so the term simply lapses. There is no annual contract waiting on this side.
Givebear vs Pushpay, side by side →Your aware3 church is being moved to FACTS
The aware3 brand dissolved into FACTS (Nelnet) on March 1, 2024, and its church customers are being migrated onto the FACTS stack. Legacy text-to-give was $109/mo before the FACTS migration (FACTS (Nelnet), verified June 2026).
A forced migration is the one moment switching costs are already sunk: your data is leaving aware3 either way. Follow the default into a tuition-and-payments suite, or point the same export here and keep recurring gifts, donor records, and your giving page on a platform where donations are the whole product.

Questions teams ask before switching
Will recurring donors have to re-enter their cards?
Usually not. If your current platform processes payments through Stripe (Donorbox, Givebutter, Zeffy, and most modern platforms do), Stripe supports a secure account-to-account copy of saved payment methods. Card data moves inside Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure and never passes through Givebear or your staff. We recreate each recurring gift on the same day of the month it already bills, so donors see no gap and no duplicate charge. If your platform uses a different processor, we run a re-authorization campaign for you: a short email series with a one-tap link for each donor to confirm their gift.
What happens to our existing donation links and QR codes?
Before cutover we map every public giving link we can find: website buttons, email footers, printed QR codes, Linktree entries, and partner pages. Your new Givebear giving page goes live first, then old links are pointed at it. Printed QR codes that can't be reprinted keep working as long as the URL they encode redirects, which is part of the same mapping exercise.
How long does a migration take?
A typical organization is fully moved in two to three weeks: one week to audit funds, donor records, and active recurring gifts; one week to import and run both systems in parallel; then a cutover date you pick (most teams choose a quiet week, not mid-campaign). Organizations with a single giving page and no recurring donors have switched in under a week.
What does concierge migration cost?
Nothing. Our team does the donor import, recurring gift recreation, and link mapping as part of onboarding on every plan, including the free plan. You assign one person who can export data from your current platform and answer questions about your fund categories; we do the rest.
How does the 0% fee window work?
After your migration completes and you are live on Givebear, we set your platform fee to 0% for 90 days on one-time gifts, both online and at your kiosks. Recurring gifts bill at your normal plan rate from day one, so nothing changes for migrated subscriptions mid-window (and Stripe's card processing always applies at cost, since that is a third-party charge we never mark up). The waiver and its exact end date show on your dashboard billing page, and when the 90 days end your normal plan rate resumes automatically. There is no price lock and nothing to cancel.
Do we lose our donation history for year-end statements?
No. Your donor records import with their giving history attached, so January year-end statements include gifts made on the old platform and the new one in a single document. We match donors by email address and flag any ambiguous records for your review instead of guessing.
