How it all started

As society rapidly transitioned to a cashless economy, community organizations were left behind. Causes were missing out on crucial funds simply because younger demographics, and increasingly the general public, stopped carrying physical wallets.
Givebear was born out of this necessity. We realized that corporate payment processors weren't built for the unique warmth of a community event. They didn't understand fund routing, the importance of tax receipts, or the fast-paced nature of passing the hat.
