My Givebear (supporter portal)

Help supporters understand where to review their giving, memberships, and event tickets.

My Givebear is the supporter-facing portal at givebear.io/my. It is the self-service starting point for donors, members, and event attendees, not a replacement for finance review when money looks wrong. Supporters sign in with a magic link sent to the email they used when giving, joining, or registering.

What supporters can do in My Givebear

Review donation history and lifetime totals.
Manage recurring gifts: change amount or frequency, pause, resume, or cancel.
View memberships, show a member QR code, save the card to Google Wallet, or download a PDF member card.
See event tickets with check-in codes, upcoming and past.
Download individual receipts and annual statements.

When to send a supporter to the portal

Send a supporter to givebear.io/my when they need to:

Review recent giving.
Find receipt-related information.
Review recurring donation context.
Find a membership card or event ticket.
Confirm the email address associated with their giving.
Start from a supporter-facing page instead of the private dashboard.

What staff should check first

Before sending a supporter instructions, ask:

Which email did they use?
Was the gift online, recurring, event registration, or kiosk?
What date and amount do they remember?
Which organization or campaign were they giving to?

These details help staff search the dashboard if the supporter cannot find the expected record.

Portal limitations

Do not use the portal as the only source for complex finance questions. Escalate to staff review when:

The supporter reports a duplicate charge.
A recurring gift does not appear as expected.
The supporter needs a refund.
The supporter changed cards and still sees failures.
Event registration and payment state do not match.

Staff handoff language

Use clear language:

"Please sign in to My Givebear, your supporter portal, at givebear.io/my with the same email you used for your donation. If you still cannot find the gift, send us the approximate date, amount, and email so we can review the transaction."
